Youth and ambition too much for Chipstead

With a couple of results not going their way in the last minutes of games, the OWRFC Second XV were looking for a morale boosting victory of any type, as long as it was a full 80 minute performance.
What they got was a squad, including full bench, that were eager to play for each other and punish any mistakes by the opposition.

With a complement of seven WCGS students adding extra pace to an already fizzing backline and busy pack, the writing was on the wall for Chipstead from as early as five minutes when the first try was scored.

The Chipstead pack (with some large and experienced frames in their number) started strongly but were soon overrun by the hosts more mobile and tenacious forwards.

Needless to say, with a minimum of parity up front, the 'Counts were able to unleash their rampant backs who were well marshalled by the spine of Ben, Jake and Heath. With hands moving faster than at a bukkake festival, the ball was often in the hands of the winger before the defence had started to spread.

15 tries in all were spread across many players and, if there had been a set of kicking boots in attendance, the 100 point barrier may well have been broken.

It has to be said that the Chipstead guys kept going to the final whistle and showed big hearts. We've all been on the end of occasional results like this and it's not much fun
Fortunately, it was our turn to be on the right end if it this time.
